About
I specialize in working with individuals who have been impacted by traumatic and/or distressing life experiences and circumstances. Attachment wounds as well as single incident traumas are ruptures that result in a sense of disconnection from ourselves, others, and the world. This is an adaptive reaction to abnormal events. In time, you may realize that living life in ‘survival’ mode is no longer serving you. You may feel disengaged from those around you, numb or empty, or feel ‘too’ sensitive, emotional, or reactionary. Connecting with others may feel overwhelming. You are deserving and capable of growth, connection, and healing.
I pay particular attention to the connection between mind and body and incorporate EMDR and somatic therapies into my work. I believe that attending to the nervous system is essential to successful trauma work. Other focus areas include: sex/sexuality, healthy boundaries, and inner child work. I identify as Queer and enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ individuals.
My realness and warmth are two of the characteristics that are most appreciated by my clients. I seek to provide a safe, collaborative, therapeutic space - one in which I honor your full personhood, the identities you hold, and your lived experiences. I approach my work with compassion and curiosity. It would be an honor to work with you towards your goals.
