I prioritize an interactive and relational approach to therapy, helping clients to understand the factors contributing to destructive patterns, uncover their strengths, and develop the skills and opportunities necessary for improvement and their version of success. I understand the impacts of an invalidating narrative and strive to help people build greater confidence and a sense of productivity in their personal and professional lives.
My areas of focus include anxiety in all its forms (avoidance, overthinking, perfectionism, ocd), depression, low self-esteem, borderline traits, relationship issues, gender and sexuality, sexual functioning, and trauma. I have specialized training in CBT, DBT and EMDR and emphasize deep processing as well as concrete coping skills.
At the root of my work, I seek to provide a safe and supportive space for people based on their unique needs, experiences, and values. I have extensive experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and promote radical acceptance and positive regard for all backgrounds and beliefs.
