Mrs. Israelian-Dillon is a Child and Adolescent trauma specialist who treats anxiety and depression in patients by integrating several empirically evident approaches including EMDR. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is recognized by the World Health Organization, The American Psychiatric Association, The Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense as the preferred method of reducing trauma. Zhenique is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience offering virtual, outpatient psychotherapy sessions, tailored to meet clients at their current stage of healing. Her practice also encompasses diaphragmatic breathing, EMDR, and "parts work" from IFS, delivering lasting improvements in mental health.
The early stages of EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing include practicing to calm one's nervous system. We create a "Calm Place", practice triggering the Relaxation Response with tapping and breathing techniques. Patients learn concrete ways to manage stress between sessions and can experience the soothing effects of EMDR right away.
