I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life challenges. I believe that every individual is an expert in their care, thus, I tailor every session to the individuals’ unique needs and place high emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I approach therapy using the cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) modality, and focus on the interplay between your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Working through this modality, I can help you identify and challenge unhelpful thinking, which can minimize negative emotions and maladaptive behaviors.
While seeking to understand is key in therapy, so too are clear, open communication and a non-judgmental attitude. I use active listening, reflection, and summary to help clients work through challenges and move the therapeutic relationship along.
