Grief and bereavement are something we will all face - death and endings are a natural part of life. But in our mourning avoidant culture, we don't generally have to skills and support to walk a healthy grief journey. If you are struggling with the death of someone you love, a pet, or a life transition, and need to know if what you are feeling is normal, I am here for you. Traumatic events aren't generally something we have control over, but we do have the ability to heal and grow. If you aren't sure how to move forward, I can help you with specific tools - so that it doesn't have to continue to define you in negative ways.
As a Certified Thanatologist, I have extensive experience and expertise in the study of grief, dying and bereavement. My Death and Grief Studies Certification has provided me with the evidenced based skill set needed to support survivors like yourself. As a Professor for Columbia University School of Social Work, I am here to help you in meaningful ways.
If you are struggling with your self-esteem, unsure what steps to take to live your best life, having trouble looking forward to the future after a loss, or simply trying to imagine a better way to cope with the ups and downs inherent in life, reach out. I have the experience and track record to help you. Call or email me for consultation.
