Everyone is trying their best. The world we live in rarely offers people the opportunity to live life trauma-free. Certainly no one I've met has lived that life. It's not until we recognize the ways in which we've been hurt, most often by people we trusted most, that we are able to find ourselves again. Trauma tells us we can't move on or be happy, it tells us that we aren't worth the good and fulfilling life we deserve. Trauma tells us that we deserve to be punished and alone. Unlearning these harmful narratives allows us to develop healthy boundaries and connection with those closest to us.
Therapy is pointless and ineffective without empathy, kindness, and support. I make it a point to support people from all kinds of backgrounds, races, sexualities, or creeds. You are the expert in your life, and all I want to do is come alongside you to help you notice the ways that trauma has prevented you from seeing your potential and meaning.
