Hello! Glad you're here! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 23 years of experience. I specialize in working with children, teens, and parents, helping families heal, grow, and strengthen their relationships. I've worked in schools, juvenile probation departments, foster care systems, psychiatric hospitals and disaster recovery, so very little surprises me. Parenting is difficult, but you don't have to manage every emotional meltdown or behavioral storm alone. Together we can build healthier relationships through family sessions, play therapy activities, psychoeducation or refresh your parenting skills.
Somatic Experiencing is at the heart of my work. I use somatic practices to support clients experiencing trauma, burnout, grief, anxiety, and stress. These tools help clients better understand how the brain and body respond to stress, while also learning practical ways to regulate and cope. Education is key and an important part of the therapeutic process!
Our first meeting is a time for you to ask questions and share your concerns. Together, we will create a plan that supports your needs. Everyone has a voice and it's important to Include youth to take part in the plan and family sessions.
