I tailor my approach to you as the individual client based on your unique situation. My therapy tool box includes years of collected training and practice in various modalities including cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, dialectical behavioral, exposure-response, Internal Family Systems, and psychodynamic therapies with all ages, populations, and issues. Clients can expect to leave sessions with me feeling seen, heard and validated, curious about what is happening within themselves, and with tools and steps to move forward with more confidence and better sense of self.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience working with a variety of populations in different settings. I believe therapy is a collaborative process with the client being the expert on their own life and the therapist being a resource to help overcome difficulties on life's journey.
Therapy absolutely requires trust and some amount of personality/communication style fit. No therapist works for everyone. I strongly encourage each person to trust themself to know what works for them and what doesn't and to advocate for what they need.
