For counseling to be effective, both you and I must be actively involved in developing counseling goals and assessing progress towards a state of positive mental health. As a person centered therapist, rather than analyzing what is wrong with you or subjecting your feelings and behaviors to analytical interpretation, I give you the room to access your own wisdom so I can support you with navigating and finding solutions to life’s problems.
Depending on your individual needs, I will tailor the treatment to you by merging therapy practices with your hobbies and daily activities. Homework may be utilized at times to focus on methods of self-discovery and expression. Sessions will focus on subjects such as: self-awareness, choice, meaning of life, strengths/limitations, acceptance, and change.
