The men and couples I work with primarily focus around sex addiction and/or intimacy disorder. For whatever reason, they wish to stop their addictive behaviors or their intense cycles of relationship, but cannot. At the end of the day, loneliness persists in a manner that feels suffocating. They may want it to stop, but cannot perceive a life worth living without their addiction or relationship. I believe that addicts often lose their soul before they lose their life. While pain may be inevitable, suffering is not. If you are committed to working on honesty, openness, and willingness, you belong with me and I would love to help
I specialize in treating sex addiction and intimacy disorder through treating childhood trauma. I work at a sex addiction treatment center and have my own private practice on the side. I utilize somatic experiential modality (SOMEX) and brainspotting. You will find yourself sitting across from someone who gets it and is willing to sit with you in it.
I commonly see clients who enter into my office because of ultimatums or with a fear of death, but not enough of a courage to live. I am a firm believer that how you start does not matter as much as what keeps you going. I hope to provide a moment in which you find an inner strength you have not felt in some time, maybe never. Recovery is possible!
