Thank you for clicking on my Profile! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I am a Cisgender Black-Brown Latina Woman, who is Neurodivergent. I recently went into Private Practice, where I provide individual therapy to adults and couples. I see clients in person (office located in Colorado Springs) and Telehealth statewide. I accept most major insurances including Tricare and Medicaid. As an individual within several oppressed identities, I stand firm in advocating for clients and validating their experiences within their presenting/preferred identifies. I am a Social Worker first.
I help my clients become their own therapist through our work. I encourage a collaborative and intentional therapeutic relationship; where emotional, psychological and physical safety is established to be able to do the work ethically. As a Social Worker, I build an understanding of who the client is, within all the environments and communities they exist.
I am a Social Worker and a Therapist in the Colorado Springs area. I am able to empathize with being a member of several oppressed groups. I can validate not wanting to crash out in recent times. I understand the importance of incorporating community resources and supports to meet the various needs of the clients. I encourage clients to become self-reliant.
