Most people experience times or situations in their life in which professional support is needed. I believe I offer comfort and support in a nurturing way of meeting you right where you are, without judgment, being open, and creating a trusting environment to facilitate the desired growth and change within the individual and/or the family. I have worked with multiple populations; teens, adult individuals, couples, and families and have experienced the journey with people who make positive life changes and the joy of watching the changes as the client decides to take the time to learn better to do better with a new skill set.
I have trained in evidence-based Prolonged Exposure Therapy and continue to take advantage of developing my own skillset. PE which has a strong evidence base, (Foa, Hembree, & Rothbaum 2007). I keep the focus on NOT what is wrong with you but on what has happened to you to help you reduce symptoms. Kaiser Permanente ACES is utilized to identify symptoms.
I offer you a safe place to talk about anything you would like to bring up without the labels, judgment or being pushed. We will build the trust and together we will come up with solutions that you have decided are doable. We take apart the issue and work as a team with you being the expert and I will be the guide and respectfully challenge you along the way
