I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, emotional regulation, and improving interpersonal skills. I am certified in DBT, extensively trained in IFS and EMDR. Clients have often told me that they want to operate differently, but every time they have the opportunity, they don’t. This led me to focus my work on a client’s past experiences.
My belief is that our childhood experiences are our first education when it comes to learning about relationships, communication, love, and conflict. Our early family dynamics shaped us. When we acknowledge a person’s past, we can understand their inner structures and will be able to better understand them in the present.
When we have experienced painful experiences in our past, the healing is in moving from survival to choice. We cannot change our negative past experiences, but we can change our relationship with them. I am here to offer my clients a supportive and compassionate environment to achieve their goals in growing beyond painful childhood experiences.
