Children may exhibit difficulties that interfere with their social, academic or emotional functioning for many different reasons. I work with kids ages 6 and older to help identify the source(s) of these challenges. Using a comprehensive neuropsychological/psychological assessment, I evaluate children to identify individual strengths and areas of challenge, provide differential diagnoses, and offer treatment planning recommendations. Such an assessment provides parents with a better understanding of their child's unique cognitive and social/emotional functioning, as well as specific approaches geared towards a chid's success at home and school.
I work extensively with children exhibiting symptoms of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders (PDD, Asperger's), Learning Disabilities, Anxiety Disorders and Mood Disorders. In addition to my practice in Newton, I also work at North Shore Children's Hospital, Neurodevelopmental Center (Salem, MA).
