Congratulations! You’ve made the courageous decision to search for something new. My approach to psychotherapy is experiential and relational. I believe that we hold within us everything we need for recovery and expansion and that a genuine and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship offers the context for healing, exploration, and growth. My clients describe feeling gotten and empowered by me. Psychotherapy with me is like traditional talking therapy. And also quite different. We won’t just talk about the bad experiences you’ve had. We’ll also cultivate new ones and help you consolidate the "new you" that will slowly emerge.
We’ll likely encounter struggles that hold you back. We will explore what those struggles are telling you and experiment together with gentle and creative ways of easing the internal gridlock that results. I have two decades of experience sitting with individuals and families in crisis, helping them to emerge stronger than they were before the crisis hit.
I’ve also had intensive training in EMDR, Sensorimotor, and Emotionally Focused therapies, and I have studied with world experts in the integration of these and other modalities to treat trauma and other complex life challenges.
