I specialize in mood disorders, life transitions, anxiety, relationship/interpersonal issues, and intergenerational trauma. I have immigrated to the United States from Brazil at a very young age and speaks Portuguese. I embrace a multicultural lens and skillfully fosters an inclusive and safe space for clients from diverse backgrounds. I believe that the most important aspect of creating change is through a strong therapeutic alliance.
I have training in Psychoanalysis and Perinatal mood disorders. I utilize the Gottman method when working with couples on relationship challenges and communication. I also take a client-centered approach and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness.
I am based in our Jersey City office and offer telehealth video sessions. We are in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, Meritain, BCBS/Horizon/Empire/Anthem and United/Optum/Oxford.
