Announcement icon As we all adapt to the changes created by COVID-19. I am currently conducting all therapy sessions remotely, via secure video chat.
"Why should I go to therapy?" I remember asking myself that same question many years ago. Deciding to go to therapy isn’t easy. It usually means that life has been challenging and that you aren't coping well. Sometimes the cause is obvious—you’ve lost someone; you’re anxious or depressed; you’re dealing with change. At other times, things are less clear. You sense that something is off, but can’t exactly point to what it is. That’s where therapy can make a significant difference. Your time in therapy is likely the only time you'll have complete freedom to say what’s running through your head—good or bad—without being judged.
I focus on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic treatments to help you uncover unresolved conflicts within yourself and within your other meaningful relationships. For nearly a decade I've worked with the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, adults and young adults dealing with depression, anxiety, HIV, trauma, relationship issues, and grief.
Therapy can be intimate. You need to find someone who listens to you and offers input based on what you bring into session. Together we will explore your emotions and thoughts, understand how they affect your life, and arrive at a place of real resolution. Or more simply: I'm joining you — sometimes to listen, sometimes to guide — as you explore your mind.
