About
With 35 years in practice and specialized training in marital/family therapy and psychological trauma, I have a broad understanding of the difficulties that bring people to therapy.
Together we can change problematic relationship patterns in your personal life or work.
If you suffer from anxiety or depression, have experienced early or more recent trauma that is distressing and limits your ability to function, or experiencing difficulties related to past or current relationships, we can work to resolve the problems keeping you from moving forward and leading a more fulfilling life.
Please call me to see how I might be of help.
My perspective is essentially interpersonal; I view the process as fundamentally collaborative, developing and growing out of a relationship between therapist and client(s) to help them examine and challenge old ways of thinking in order to see new possibilities and work towards making the changes they desire.
For 35 years I've also worked at a VA facility with traumatized veterans, also supervising psychology interns, and training staff. I have given presentations at meetings of organizations specializing in treatment of traumatic stress disorders, in which I hold memberships. I have also been called on by media outlets for expert opinions.
