About
Sometimes we struggle to express what we need or want out of life. Other times we may feel that we are not living up to expectations. We can get stuck in a loop of our negative thoughts and fears. Building a trusting relationship with a counselor can help you step out of these patterns and bring meaning to your struggles. I really want to know what it’s like to be you; not only your inner life but also how you belong in the world around you. Together we will explore the things that are important to you and move toward the change that you are looking for.
I work with teens and adults who are experiencing anxiety or depression; struggling with school, work, or relationships; and exploring issues of self esteem or identity. We will work together to understand your goals for counseling. Depending on your needs a variety of modalities, such as psychotherapy, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing, may be employed.
Equatable and affirming practices that support individuals who identify with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities are important to me. Please reach out for a free 20 minute consultation to see if I’d be a good fit for your needs.
