I have worked with a variety of populations such as domestic violence victims & perpetrators, children ranging from toddler age to teenagers, grief & loss, autism, behavioral issues, transitional life changes, & couple work. I work from an integrative Humanistic & Existential Theoretical approach as my belief is that loss is something that is experienced by everyone during many times in our lives & use nondirective play therapy when working with children & explore any issues that might be present in their lives. I have worked in private practice, agency & school based setting as a therapist & honing in my expertise.
I gained valuable experience working at Omega Mental health, Marjaree Mason & Central Valley Family Therapy working with couples, young adults & teens & acculturation issues with parents. I completed domestic violence training, have co-facilitated groups in the Batterers Intervention Program & have worked both with victims & perpetrator groups & individuals
As a daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, I acknowledge the privilege of an education & opportunities that I have. I am passionate about giving back to the Latino community & providing services in both English & Spanish.
