A deep interest in human behavior led Elisabeth to receive a bachelor of psychology from The University of Utah in 2021. Wanting to connect with individuals and aid them on their journey of self-discovery prompted Elisabeth to pursue a Master of Social Work from Northcentral University. Elisabeth enjoys working with children and teens, LGBTQ individuals, individuals with neurodevelopmental (neurodiverse) disorders, and older adults. She also enjoys assisting individuals of various ages struggling with mood disorders, trauma, abuse, attachment, and religious or spiritual issues.

Welcome! I’m Meg, an LCSW with a passion for helping kids and teens grow towards their most fulfilled, secure, and authentic selves. Growing up is hard for everyone, but I’ve found that many of the youth that come to see me have had a harder time than most finding a consistent feeling of safety and belonging in the world. Much of my experience has come from working with those who identify as neurodivergent or LGBTQ+, those diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, or other disabilities, those who have experienced developmental/complex trauma, and those struggling with anxiety, attachment, or self-image.

I am accepting new clients! My focus is on working with children, teens, adults, and families. I have experience working with teens and children with autism and learning difficulties. I am a middle school teacher at a school that specializes in helping students with autism and other learning difficulties, as well as those who struggle to cope with their strong and changing emotions. Thrill seekers love sky diving, bungee jumping and rollercoasters and while life is full of ups and downs, everyone handles life’s bumps differently. My ideal client would be someone who is willing to acknowledge the need for help and growth in their life. I recently started a private practice after working for UNI for 4 years, and previously practiced in Brooklyn. Most people think therapy is going to someone to vent at and receive endless empathy; that's nice, but where has that gotten you? I get to the root of the problem/s; my clients experience an interactive therapy that produces results. My methods are directive, down to earth, and engaging for both children and adults. We all develop habits that serve us in the moment, only to discover that those same behaviors and narratives are keeping us from getting what we want out of life and relationships.

My passion lies in providing support for those grappling with depressive and anxiety disorders, diverse forms of grief, and various personality challenges. Additionally, I specialize in aiding survivors of domestic violence, especially those who have endured physical, sexual, and emotional trauma. My experience also extends to assisting individuals dealing with developmental and complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, often compounded by substance and behavioral addictions. Moreover, I have had the honor of working closely with military families across different contexts.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 30 years of experience. I want to help people live their authentic lives. I’m a good listener with judgment-free regard for others. I have been trained to treat trauma from a variety of sources i.e. military, police, first responders, abuse and grief, using EMDR and ART. I work with couples, adults, and adolescents with many issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, grief, ADHD, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, LGBTQ+ and addiction. I use several modalities including CBT, ACT and Gottman strategies.

I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, and I do my best to ensure that treatment is tailored specifically to each client. As a therapist, I emphasize the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist, as I believe that this the foundation and key to successful therapy.

While still in college, I began my career in the mental health field, initially as a Behavioral Health Technician and Respite Clinician for a hospital crisis team.

I have worked for over 10 years in the Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling field. much of my work has been with clients who are assimilating their disabilities, struggling with homelessness, adjusting to single parenthood, recovering from addiction and those who are supporting family members in addiction recovery. I have also worked with refugees and immigrants who are adjusting to and assimilating the United States’ culture. Additionally, I have extensive experience in working with children, ages 4-18, who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, DMDD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, and/or IED as well as working with veterans.

I am work with all types of new clients, yet my primary focus is to work with clients facing trauma, anxiety and depression.
