My name is Lashaunta Hogan. You just made the first step, Congratulations! The initial step in asking for help can sometimes be the hardest to make. Reading this is that step. Life can be overwhelming and when those times occur, it helps to have someone trained and unbiased to help navigate those situations. Choosing someone to help traverse transitional life circumstances, choosing new life directions, or just having someone to work through normal everyday life, is one of the most important choices you can ever make. You should never feel embarrassed or judged to ask for help. I hope that I can be that person for you.
There is no “one size fits all” to life and the same goes for therapy. My approach to therapy is eclectic and is based on the individual client and scientific studies. Some of the approaches used are CBT, SFBT, TF-CBT, and holistic psychotherapy.
I have a master’s degree in science in Clinical Mental Health and Psychology. I am an Associate Professional Counselor currently under supervision. Pursuing this profession is a passion and personal choice. I am a retired first sergeant in the U.S. Army. I spent the first part of my life in service to humanity and my goal is continue in this profession.
