Looking for intensive outpatient support to address your trauma history? My next 12-week Virtual Women's Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (TREM) Group will February 15, 2022, each Tuesday and Thursday, from 6PM to 7:30PM. The Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (TREM) is a fully manualized group-based intervention designed to facilitate trauma recovery among women with histories of exposure to sexual and physical abuse. Drawing on cognitive restructuring, psychoeducational, and skills-training techniques, the 24- to 29-session group emphasizes the development of coping skills and social support.
It addresses short-term and long-term consequences of violent victimization, including mental health symptoms, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and substance abuse. TREM has been successfully implemented in a wide range of service settings (mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice) and among diverse racial and ethnic populations.

Virtual Women's Trauma Recovery Empowerment Group
SEPTEMBER 1, 2021 - NOVEMBER 17, 2021. TREM is a 24-session group intervention for women who survived trauma and have substance use and/or mental health conditions. This model draws on cognitive–behavioral, skills training, and psychoeducational techniques to address recovery and healing from sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. We focus on: (1) learning strategies for self-comfort, accurate self-monitoring, as well as ways to establish safe physical/emotional boundaries; (2) focusing on trauma experiences and their consequences; and (3) skill building with emphases on communication style, decision-making, regulating overwhelming feelings, and establishing safer, more reciprocal relationships.
