During times of struggle or change having someone to help you through is invaluable. An outside perspective can be beneficial in navigating through and overcoming challenges. Healing is real and possible. Suffering does not have to last. I help clients live authentically, find more peace, and connect more to self and others by increasing awareness and acceptance of emotions, increasing body discernment/somatic mindfulness, and enhancing the body/mind/spirit connection. Feeling better comes through learning to regulate the nervous system through the reprocessing of old trauma and healing one's attachment wounds, expressing emotions using expressive arts/music/movement/drumming/psychodrama/writing/etc., learning to re-frame negative thoughts, increasing shame resilience, and practicing self-compassion.

Inner work is lifetime work, and I enjoy joining my clients on their healing journey of growth and change. I am continually in awe of the brain-body connection and our inherent ability to heal. I work from a psychodynamic perspective, which means I help clients understand their emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and values in order to gain insight to their behaviors. I work with young adults, families, and couples helping them to shed light on themselves and the systems of which they are a part. I have worked predominately with clients experiencing symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar, addictive disorders, and personality disorders. I have a background in wilderness therapy and experiential treatment and love to introduce creative, alternative modes of expression to my clients, including yoga movement, narrative, and outdoor based therapies (walk and talk).

I believe that a caring and genuine therapeutic relationship can assist people in living a more meaningful, joyful, and productive life. Specifically, my approach integrates mindfulness-based and cognitive-behavioral therapies within a neurobiological framework for understanding and optimizing wellness.
