I work closely with all clients to assist them in gaining the personal insight and self-awareness necessary to identify thought patterns, behavior patterns, and relationship patterns that consistently create difficulty and make change appear impossible. Change is never impossible or out of reach when clients have hope. Hope does not disappoint!

I work with adolescent girls and adult women (ages 15+) facing issues related to self-esteem, stress, anxiety, and depression. I help women gain self-knowledge in a safe, supportive environment in order to become unstuck and begin growing into the healthiest version of themselves, ultimately leading to fulfilling lives, including harmonious relationships.

Sometimes we spend a lifetime searching for answers and trying to unravel the things that have occurred in our lives. Other times, we seek to learn about the future and pathways that we may want to lay out for ourselves. However, at the end of the day, we also need to learn about the present moments and how we transition throughout these various phases of life. Therapy is designed to provide support and a place of safety for the client to explore any and all things that may have already happened in their lives, and the events that may occur as their life continues on.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in helping those who struggle with anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, and trauma. I have a Master's Degree from The University of Mississippi in Counselor Education with a focus on Community Mental Health Counseling, and received my Bachelor's Degree in History from Mississippi State University. Outside of the counseling setting I enjoy exercising, baking, and spending time with my family as well as my dogs.

Interactive Therapies began in order to serve the needs of children and families' behavioral, emotional, and other psychological challenges. I offer interactive, creative, and innovative approaches to many of the challenging issues facing families and their children here in North Mississippi. I am passionate about involving caregivers in the therapeutic process and facilitating change by helping all participates feel validated and understood.

In my 10 years of practice as a counselor, I have had the great honor to walk alongside people from all walks of life as they find healing and improve their relationship with themselves and those that they love. I practice from a person-centered approach and believe that my clients are the experts of their own lives and experiences.

I am dedicated to assisting clients reach their individual goals, work through life transitions, and address the difficult challenges that often happen in our lives. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, I work with children aged 3 – 12, adolescents and adults. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have training in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR). My past work experience has focused on the issues of grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and behavioral issues.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Therapist in Mississippi since 1999. I hold a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education and a PhD in Educational Leadership. My experience in the field of mental healthcare spans over 30 years. I was a school administrator for six years and a former law enforcement officer for 10 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, couples, parenting problems, career challenges, PTSD and ADHD. I am a compassionate counselor, but I believe in individual accountability.

My Christian faith shapes my worldview however I recognize that not everyone shares that same faith experience. Angie Gillespie is a Board Certified Mental Health Counselor specializing in issues of anxiety and depression with adults and adolescents. Angie believes it is important to give people an opportunity to share their struggles in a safe, supportive space so they can become a better, healthier version of themselves. Angie knows that achieving healthy mental wellbeing can be a difficult process and believes in helping her clients take charge of their lives through their thoughts and actions to achieve the success they desire.

I am licensed to practice clinical social work in multiple states to include Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Ohio, and Maryland.

We all face difficulties in life and there is no universal “normal.” I have personally been through difficult life experiences, such as abuse, divorce, and single parenthood, but also have experienced healing. My approach is to help clients discover what they have within themselves and how they can find their own “normal.” Sometimes it just takes an objective ear, raw honesty, and different perspective to discover the power within us.

I especially enjoy working with are those who have had no prior counseling experience or who have had negative experiences in counseling settings; I value the time it takes to build the foundation for a trusting and safe relationship.
