I strive to provide clarification, encouragement, interpretation and information to facilitate you working toward your desired goals. Our emphasis will be on here-and-now choices to re-orient yourself to the present rather than just exploring the past. We all have an underlying drive to reach our maximum potential; I see therapy as a tool for uncovering that drive and finding self-actualization and my role is to encourage you in that exploration.

The Institute for Ashe Movement (IAM) was created by founder, Dr. Marshall Lee to provide individual psychotherapy and therapeutic dance and movement to residents of New Orleans.

I am Leatha and I work with individuals who feel as if they have lost themself and their voice, are overwhelmed, and unsure how to make changes. I am a LCSW with 6+ years of experience working with both adolescents and adults. I received a BA from UNO and my MSW from Tulane in 2009. I have inpatient and outpatient experience with adults who have suffered from mood and personality disorders; and with adolescents with self esteem issues and poor coping skills. I specialize specifically in treating depression and anxiety disorders in both adolescents and adults. I am also a trained doula/birth specialist and offer therapy to women who are seeking support in pre/postpartum phases.
