I believe that in order for individuals to experience an extraordinary life (a life filled with peace, love, joy, and purpose) they must learn how to heal, protect, and strengthen all three parts of themselves - the soul (mind, will, & emotions), the body, and the spirit. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy with Christian, biblical principles to address a complexity of issues within an individual, family, couple, or group that may be preventing them from experiencing physical, mental, and spiritual wholeness. Also, my husband, Adewale Disu, a Certified Life Coach, provides life coaching services to men.

I am accepting new clients as of 4/15/2024. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years of experience, specializing in working with the adult and senior population. I have a deep understanding of individuals and families facing various difficulties, including depression, anxiety, trauma, mental illness, loss, and grief, hospice, later life out of home moves and adjustments, independent and assisted living transitions (elder life), domestic violence, chronic and terminal illness.

My ideal client is someone who is open to exploring themselves using creative expression. I have experience with many art mediums and use art to assist clients with gaining insight in areas that align with their needs and goals. I enjoy working with clients on emotional expression and identification as well as helping clients identify coping strategies that work for them to assist with mood and emotional issues.

My greatest strength as a practitioner is my understanding of the human experience. Kelsey Blahnik is a Qualified Supervisor in multiple states available for individual or group supervision and the executive director of The And Way Therapy. Kelsey and her team provide individual (ages 6+) and couples therapy via Telehealth. She primarily utilizes a fusion of EMDR and IFS. Due to her passion for making high quality, affordable Mental Health care accessible, the team offers services ranging from as little as $75 per session and are in network with many insurance providers.
