Wissahickon Valley Counseling was established in 2025 to offer a warm, inclusive, and accessible option for mental health care. Located in the Northwest section of Philadelphia WVC provides compassionate and strengths-based therapy rooted in evidence based practice.
Wissahickon Valley Counseling strives to be a safe, inclusive, and affirming space—especially for those who have been marginalized or harmed by the mental health system. We are grounded in trauma-informed care, and we believe that truly being trauma-informed includes working to challenge and change the systems that cause harm.
We support LGBTQIA+ rights, Trans rights, immigrant rights, disability rights, and harm reduction. We believe therapy can be a powerful tool for liberation—from internalized oppression and from the external systems that impact our lives. As therapists, we are committed not only to support our clients' healing, but also to doing our own work.
