I enjoy supporting adults and adolescents as they discover their inherent health on a path of healing and transformation. I have worked with individuals and families experiencing the impact of new parenthood, chronic illness, professional or school-related stress, death and dying, and other life-changing events. I also have extensive experience teaching, coaching and assisting teens in identifying and meeting their goals.

The emphasis of my clinical work is in pediatric assessments including neuropsychological evaluations. I specialize in providing individually-tailored, extensive examinations of symptoms, development, and functioning in order to better understand each child or adolescent. Thus, the goal is not to arrive at a standardized diagnosis, but to achieve a deeper insight into each person's distinct biopsychosocial makeup. The most enjoyable aspect of assessment work is being able to provide children and families with clarifying "ah ha" moments, in order to help them make better sense and successes of their lives.

My practice areas include alcohol and other drug addictions, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and developmental and relational trauma. I believe in creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship that encourages collaborative goal-setting and individuals' right to self-determination. I support multiple pathways to recovery and utilize techniques that explore the mind/body connection. Carolyn Moynihan-Bradt, M.S.W., has practiced individual, marriage and family therapy for thirty-five years. She networks on the national level as a leading voice among hr colleagues: lecturing, teaching, writing and researching while maintaining a private practice in Madison, Wisconsin. Moynihan-Bradt brings an inter-generational family systems perspective to therapy with an emphasis on person change. She listens with enormous respect for the individual and their unique history and she possesses a rare depth of understanding. I established my practice in 2007 following a decade of working as a therapist at Jane Addams' Hull House and Chicago area treatment facilities. My office is highly accessible, comfortable, and conducive to effective therapy. My role is to provide additional support and to assist clients during this time of growth, transition or discovery.
