On the outside, you seem calm and put together, but on the inside, trauma can leave you anxious, numb, and carrying a weight that feels impossible to put down. Life may have once felt predictable and safe, but now even small tasks can feel like mountains to climb. Whether you’ve experienced sexual assault or are navigating life after trauma, you don’t have carry this alone. I support survivors as they move from crisis into life after trauma, helping them rebuild a sense of safety, trust, and self-worth. I’m trained in EMDR therapy, a proven approach that helps process painful memories and lessen their emotional intensity.

I help individuals and couples to live fuller lives by addressing anxiety, depression, and a wide range of other personal issues. My goals in the initial consultation are to start getting to know you as person, to understand what brought you in, and to develop a shared picture of the work ahead.
I use a range of evidence-based treatment approaches including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT).
In addition to the above approaches, I understand the role that identity/identities and social-cultural factors play in mental health.

Many people with trauma or PTSD also have relationship problems, addictions, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and other mental health concerns. This is completely normal. If you suffered from trauma, you had to adapt to survive. You had to be watchful and on alert to protect yourself. This probably led to feelings of anxiety, anger, loneliness, and fear.
You might feel misunderstood, judged, and depressed. You might feel like giving up. You worry that your life isn't on track like your peers. It's common to feel like you can't always trust people, and this makes it hard to have healthy relationships.

Very few of us were given the tools and affirmation needed to navigate sex, identity, and relationships, despite these things being a fundamental part of our humanity. I am a sex & relationship therapist passionate about reducing sexual shame, fostering a lens of curiosity and self-acceptance in sexuality, building a sense of playfulness and confidence, developing a personal acumen of sexual values, and unlearning messages of sex-negative cultures.

I know that seeking therapy can be an intensely vulnerable act. My goal as your therapist will be to meet that vulnerability with the care and understanding that it deserves. This means approaching your concerns with curiosity and respect for all of the identities and experiences that you bring to the table. I have extensive experience working with adults with a variety of backgrounds, and make every effort to acknowledge how your environment, cultural factors and systems of power/oppression have shaped the concerns that have brought you to therapy.
