I counsel a range of individuals addressing a variety of issues, however the central focus of my education and clinical experience is in toxic stress and trauma. In stress and trauma-focused counseling, the work is rooted in safely exploring how what happened or is happening has a powerful continuation in the present moment. Stress and trauma tend to manifest a range of cognitive, biological, and behavioral changes that from the outside look like what we call mental health "disorder". However, through careful and curious exploration, we start to see that the individual's response to the stressor(s) actually makes a lot of sense.
I specialize in the treatment of stress and trauma related diagnoses, substance use issues, and general counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and families. I so much enjoy helping others to find their way through harder times and to recovery. It is a true honor.
I put very close and special attention to the work that I do and to those that I support.
