About
Let me start by acknowledging how brave you are for taking this major step. You have been fighting so many battles, both seen and unseen by others. But here you are ready to take control of your health. I am here to help you. As a therapist with several marginalized identities, I understand the effects that disparities have on our mental health and well-being. I take many approaches to my counseling, including humanistic, existentialism, feminist, and multiculturalism. As your therapist, I will work with you on making the hard things easier to sit with.
I focus on trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, as well as LGBTQIA+ topics. There are a variety of treatment modalities that may fit your needs. I will work with you to provide tools to minimize your symptoms and facilitate the process. I am also trained in EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I welcome you to take this journey of healing with me. I cannot promise it is going to be easy, but I know it is going to be worth it.
