I earned a Master's Degree in Education in Mental Health Counseling from Bridgewater State University in 2008. I am entering my 15th year of experience in the Human Services Field. I am a License Mental Health Counselor(LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts and have served wonderful people from very diverse backgrounds. I consider it a privilege to be in a position to provides a safe and trusting environment for individuals to enter into and begin their unique journey towards healing. I provide Individual, couples and family counseling. I have treated a diverse clientele with varying circumstances.
I believe in using a Cognitive Behavioral Approach to treatment which basically means if we increase positive self thought, we increase positive self feeling. In turn, we then see an increase in healthy behaviors that allow us to begin treating ourselves with respect and holding ourselves to a standard of accountability.
I have several years of experience working with adults, families, and high risk youth and children. I have done crisis and outreach work and feel very comfortable supporting clients through various challenging situations. I believe I am down to earth, reality based and create a comfortable environment for the people I service.
