Do you feel hopeless or anxious about what life looks like for you? Do you feel like things in your life could be better? Are the stresses of life weighing you down? Have you experienced traumatic events that continue to cause you problems? Ask yourself: "Why suffer one more day?" There is hope. Don't wait to get help. My primary goal is to help you start a journey of self discovery to realize and experience increased peace, self-compassion, loving kindness and contentment with yourself and in your interpersonal relationships.
My approach to therapy is integrative and collaborative. My theoretical orientation is person-centered, reflecting unconditional and nonjudgmental acceptance. My goal is to understand the unique ways clients perceive their challenges and how they respond to people, situations, traumas and events. Learning how to respond to events rather than react is key.
I have extensive experience in the treatment of trauma, which may have occurred in childhood or from recent events. I teach mindfulness skills to help people manage anxiety in a manner that is helpful. I have experience in addressing issues resulting from domestic and partner violence.
