At Journey to a Trauma Informed Life, we are committed to providing a welcoming environment for every client we work with. As a group, we specialize in working with LGBTQ+, HIV+, BIPOC, and those living with a disability. Whether you work with me directly or one of our member therapists, we are skilled in helping people resolve past traumatic events which are interfering with your ability to function from day to day. My specialty is simply taking a client-centered approach to my work. I am experienced in a variety of approaches including Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Structural Therapy, Shadow Work and Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
I take a collaborative approach when working with my clients - either one-on-one, as a couple, or as a family group. Instead of asking "What's wrong with you?" I start with "What happened, or is happening now, that helps make sense out of this frustrating behavior or feeling?"

Groups
LGBTQ+ Youth Art Wellness & Chat 'n' Chill
Through the generous sponsorship of the Greater Erie Alliance for Equality, Journey offers an in-person or virtual monthly art wellness activity. There is a Chat 'n' Chill monthly meeting as well. LGBTQ+ youth ages 12-18 are welcome and must register for each event at www.atraumainformedlife.com. Our LGBTQ+ Youth program is directed by 3 master-level clinicians. All staff has clearances and mandated reporter training.
