In my 35 plus years of practice I have found that most of the children, adolescents, and adults, who have come to see me, have had a predominate feeling or a state of being that is truly bothering them. Before coming they may have tried to the best of their abilities to solve their own problems. They may have consulted other psychotherapists or other allied professionals before coming to see me. The central task is for us to carefully identify the nature of their psychological puzzle, and to find ways to collaborate in finding solutions to them.

I have a special interest in people, who may have neurocognitive deficits. In addition, I have a special interest in children and adolescents, whose parents are in the divorce process. My special interests coupled with my interest in human development throughout the life cycle gives me a unique therapeutic perspective.

I have taught child development to post-master degree child and adolescent clinicians for over 20 years. I have tried to integrate the findings of neuroscience, the research on human development, and trauma informed practice into a integrated psychodynamic model of psychotherapy. I see psychotherapy as a collaborative dialogical process.
