I am a Clinical Social Worker that is passionate about working with adults, teens, couples, & families who experience difficulties regulating or tolerating intense waves of emotions. Particularly problems that arise in relation to but not limited to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Trauma (PTSD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Depression, Anxiety, Suicidal thoughts & Self-harm behaviors.
As a therapist, I hold training in various Cognitive Behavioral approaches that are known to help alleviate distress. But none of that matters unless we first prioritize our working relationship. My style is warm, jovial, & nonjudgmental. I approach therapy like a conversation, while creating the space needed to safely process & discover new solutions.
I understand from personal experience that it can be difficult to reach out and ask for help. I encourage you not to let that stop you.
