My name is Wilene Chang, and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) based in San Jose, California, and working with clients in-person or via telehealth. I work with young adults and the elderly population, specializing in anxiety, stress, life concerns, using Client-Centered Therapy and the Humanistic Approach, allowing clients to make progress and trusting in me to support their concerns. I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for most adults of various backgrounds, who may be dealing with challenges of life transitions and social pressures.
This often takes the form of anxiety, stress, and depression. I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life.
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use the Client-Centered and Humanistic approach, meeting clients where they are, emphasizing growth and self-realization, focusing on free will, human potential, and self-discovery.
