Therapy is a collaborative process where we work with clients to meet their personalized goals. OMFTC offers empathetic therapeutic care to children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. We operate from a systemic perspective which means we take into consideration a client's family, work, school, friends, and greater community to see how these systems may be impacting current issues. My staff is open to new clients. I have moved to an administrative and supervisory role.

Many of us go through a process of hoping for change, personal growth or, perhaps, acceptance within ourselves. I'm here to walk that journey with you and help you reach realistic goals to positively impact your daily life. I believe that establishing rapport between a client and therapist is the foundation in providing the best outcome for change. You'll find that my therapeutic approach is empathetic, non-judgmental, and transparent with a bit of light-heartedness. I work with a wide variety of clients with specialty populations that include healthcare workers, first responders, sexual assault survivors, and couples.

Counseling stinks, I tried it and didn’t think it was for me. Sound familiar? Those were my thoughts about counseling and I am wondering if you have ever felt that way? If I was offered the choice of seeing a counselor or assembling IKEA furniture with winter mittens, I would have redecorated my entire house in unpronounceable Swedish accouterments. Shunning the counseling establishment didn’t ease the sense of unhappiness I had, so I gave the system another go. This time I found a counselor that didn’t stink, a counselor that was able to see me for who I am and gave me a sense of hope I hadn’t found otherwise.

Life can be such a challenging journey filled with ups and downs, starts and stops, trials and triumphs. It can be falling apart, reclamation, or reinvention. I know, because I, too, have journeyed. Wherever you're at on your journey, there is help and hope. You might know what you need already and be looking for someone to listen as you gain the courage to make decisions; you may not know what you want or need and be looking for clarity; you might be in a difficult spot and need skills to move forward. Alone, all of those can seem insurmountable, but when we can share and process together, hope, authenticity, and courage flourish.

In life we face many challenges with our emotional health. We question our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We cannot understand while moving forward seems so difficult. We start to have uncertainty with the present and the future. We begin to question if we will ever feel "normal" again. As your therapist, my goal and greatest reward includes helping my clients overcome their individual challenges, heal from trauma, and improve their overall mental health. I focus on helping clients find what "normal" really entails. This includes a confidential, safe, and trusting environment to allow clients to share their story.

Stress and worry can take its toll on our minds and bodies. If you experience high levels of these, or feel empty at the end of the day, I will provide a safe and caring environment with which to explore the causal factors. I enjoy working with codependency, Self-development, life transitions, and relational dynamics.

It's a quickly changing world and that can make life very difficult at times. The opportunity to relate and learn helpful tools in a confidential, non-judgmental environment is an amazing healing and pro-active experience. I have over 10 years in practice and have worked with children, teens, families and couples in multiple areas including anxiety, depression, trauma and better communication. I am also fortunate enough to work within the LGBTQ+ and poly communities. I do not accept insurance at this time but will work diligently to help with any financial concerns.

Do you feel like you’re constantly running on autopilot just to get through the day? Who are you without anxiety? You’re exhausted from taking care of everyone else, saying “yes” when you want to say “no,” and putting yourself last. The pressure to keep it together has left you anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected from your own needs. I offer a warm, judgment-free space where you can be real, reconnect with yourself, and learn to prioritize you without guilt. You don’t have to do it all alone. Therapy with me is compassionate, collaborative, and sometimes even a little funny, because healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time.

My theoretical framework is deeply rooted in the principles of client-centered therapy, providing clients with a warm, collaborative, and purposeful environment characterized by empathy, understanding, and acceptance. As a therapist, it is my duty to meet client’s where they are at by structuring interventions that are supportive to the needs and experiences of each client. My stance is always strength-based and will build upon what a client is already doing well, in order to cultivate advancement towards therapy goals.

Getting help can be one of the hardest steps to take. Shame, guilt, feeling trapped in life; it can be so overwhelming. Not to mention the anxiety of meeting a therapist for the first time. I am here to listen, to serve as a guide, and to help if you want me to help. The cliché is the axiom, “You’re stronger than you think;” the truth is you absolutely are, and you matter. I am here to help you along the way.

As the only Certified Gottman Method therapist in the area, I specialize in working with couples of all varieties. I also see individual adult clients. By the time most couples seek therapy, the relationship has been troubled for an average of six years! Imagine if we applied that principle to other situations: "Something is dripping from my vehicle. I'm going to have to check that out in six years". Or, "I seem to be passing blood. I'm going to call the doctor in six years". Don't wait, call today. Let's get your relationship out of the ditch and back onto the open road again,
