Do you feel constantly overwhelmed, burned out, or like you’re running on empty—even though you’re doing everything “right”? Maybe you’re high-functioning on the outside, but inside you feel disconnected, exhausted, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shift.I work with individuals navigating chronic stress, burnout, and the lingering impact of trauma. Together, we make sense of what your mind and body have been carrying so you can begin to feel more regulated, present, and like yourself again.

Parenting is full of joys and challenges, especially when your child’s unique needs bring extra stress to daily life. Sensory sensitivities, tantrums, or difficulties in social settings can disrupt routines and make even simple outings — like going to a restaurant or attending a party— feel impossible. For families navigating adoption, trauma, or life with a child who spent time in the NICU, these challenges can feel even more complex. Sleep disruptions, behavioral struggles, and unmet expectations can create anxiety for the whole family.

Life can get or feel messy sometimes, especially when we encounter experiences that leave us feeling bewildered, overwhelmed, or as if we're merely surviving rather than thriving. It's during these moments that the guidance of a skilled psychological professional can become invaluable. My practice offers a place where individuals are invited sit and engage in one-on-one conversations, providing time to be fully heard, explore their experiences in depth, and gain some insights.

You don’t need another place to hold it all together. You need a space where you can finally exhale. You’re high-achieving, capable, and the one others rely on; yet underneath, you’re overwhelmed, burnt out, or struggling. Maybe perfectionism keeps you pushing, even when you’re exhausted. Therapy with me goes deeper than surface-level coping so you can actually feel better, not just keep pushing through. I work with high-achieving women, therapists, and professionals who appear to have it all, while internally navigating anxiety, self-doubt, or disconnection. If traditional therapy hasn’t quite fit, you’re in the right place.

As a therapist, my speciality is working with chronic overthinkers and intellectualizers. The individuals who feel overwhelmed by life's ambiguity and panicked over change, constantly looking for the "why". I know how exhausting it is to constantly question your own, and other's, actions. Feeling like you need to manage other's emotions is an exhausting, and unsustainable uphill battle. No matter how hard you try to make others happy, you end up disappointing someone.. whether that be a loved one, your boss, or yourself. This constant cycle of feeling like a failure to those you care about is crushing and keeps you spiraling.

I created Black Sheep Wellness as a space for people who have ever felt out of place, pressured to fit into boxes that don't reflect who they truly are, or follow patterns that don't serve them. My practice is rooted in the belief that authenticity is not something to fix, but something to be honored. I work with individuals and couples navigating neurodivergence, codependent relationship patterns, and those who identify as “minimizers” who want support coming out of their shell. I also support gender-diverse clients navigating social and medical transitions. My practice is sex-positive and knowledgeable of ENM/poly relationships.

I tailor approaches for each developmental stage using play therapy, talk therapy, DBT/CBT, and body-oriented approaches, such as Somatic Experiencing.
Is your child struggling to connect with you and others? Stressors seem to be not just a "passing phase". Being able to offer support, strengthen and build coping skills, and improve relationships is where I can step in to help. Children navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, or blending families are all areas I specialize in. If we intervene early, this can be a time that they learn to thrive!

In our sessions, I combine traditional talk therapy with somatic approaches that focus on reconnecting the mind and body.
Experiencing grief, loss, or trauma can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed by emotions that seem impossible to navigate. Whether it's the death of a loved one, the impact of past trauma, or the challenging process of life transitions, these moments can create deep emotional and physical pain. If you're facing such a journey, I want you to know that you don't have to go through it alone. As a therapist with extensive experience in grief, loss, and trauma, my goal is to provide a safe and compassionate space for you to begin to feel whole.

I work eclectically and flexibly with adults of all backgrounds seeking therapy because of anxiety, depression, trauma, and other issues that block our ability to feel peace and joy in our lives.  Perhaps you find yourself sinking deeper into depression, lacking the enthusiasm you once had for life.  Maybe you find yourself overwhelmed with anxiety.  Perhaps you're feeling it's time to dig deeper and heal old wounds.  Or maybe you have experienced a severe trauma, and life has never been the same since.  I am here to hold space for and to work with you on all levels: mind, heart, body, and spirit.

With a compassionate perspective, I guide individuals through personalized therapies that integrate mindfulness, cognitive strategies, and somatic techniques that incorporate both mind and body.
I have a holistic, integrative, and eclectic therapeutic view, believing that every individual is unique and therefore one type of technique does not fit all.

My approach is client-led, collaborative, and compassion focused, and I use a mix of cognitive and somatic (body based) techniques to help you strengthen your mind-body connection and heal your whole self - mind, body, and soul.
On the surface, you seem fine but inside, you’re overwhelmed, anxious and constantly doubting yourself. You struggle with saying "no" and asking for what you need. You aim for perfection, but there's still that nagging feeling that you're just not good enough. The pressure to be perfect and please everyone is exhausting and it can feel like there's no way out, but the good news is: you're not alone and it's possible to find relief. Together, we'll work on quieting your inner critic, setting boundaries without guilt, building healthy, authentic relationships with yourself and others, and finding peace and joy around and within you.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
