You want to feel more grounded, confident, and connected- but between racing thoughts, self-doubt, and overwhelm, it's hard to slow down. Maybe you scroll for answers late at night or try to push through, but still end up exhausted. I help teens and adults learn to regulate emotions, set boundaries, and rediscover the joy in everyday life.

Are you feeling stuck? If you're a woman or teen navigating trauma or grief—whether it’s one big event or a thousand papercuts—you’re not alone. We can work together to explore your experiences and find a way forward. I keep it real in therapy—you’ll get my authentic self, no judgment, no fluff. My goal is to make therapy a safe, honest space where you can talk about the things you might not be able to anywhere else. And yes, we might even laugh sometimes.

I use play therapy, CBT, IFS, SFBT, and somatic techniques to meet each client’s unique needs.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in international humanitarian affairs and lived and studied abroad in Eritrea, Ghana, Syria, and Palestine—experiences that shaped my culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach. Growing up in a low-income neighborhood in Milwaukee also informs my commitment to supporting underserved families and communities.

Through a combination of attachment, somatic, play, mindfulness, and art-based methods, I tailor therapy to meet children and teens where they are, in ways that feel safe, supportive, and engaging.
Sometimes, life feels too big for little shoulders to carry. I empower children, adolescents, and emerging adult women carrying heavy feelings or experiences that are hard to name. Many face trauma, family stress, anxiety, mood swings, social withdrawal, behaviors labeled as defiance, or pressure to perform. They crave a safe, compassionate, and supportive space where they can be seen, heard, and understood; one that nurtures confidence, encourages emotional exploration, and helps them grow resilience and find steadiness.

I am trained in breathwork as well as dance and somatic movement, which can be valuable tools to connect body and emotions in the healing process.
I am honored to be a person with whom friends, colleagues and clients have trusted to share their stories and trials and triumphs of life. I believe that our shared connections, compassion and authenticity are precious gifts to our health and wellness. The ups and downs of life often get in the way of becoming our best selves. I love working with clients who are struggling to find that voice of authenticity that’s been hidden by loneliness, comparing themselves to an impossible ideal, or even years of trauma and abuse. Together, we’ll work in collaboration, incorporating connection to mind and body to reclaim a sense of wholeness.

I use IFS and somatic approaches to help you feel what’s happening in real time—not just talk about it—so we can care for the parts that may feel stuck, alone, disconnected, or not enough.
You might be in—or recovering from—a relationship that’s left you questioning yourself. Maybe it felt controlling, manipulative, or just deeply confusing. You’ve wondered if it was “bad enough” to count as abuse. You’re intuitive and empathic, but you’ve been made to feel like you’re too much—or never enough. You’re exhausted from explaining, justifying, and trying to prove your experience. More than anything, you long for peace, safety, and relationships that feel mutual—not like minefields.

While my personal practice incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques as well as an appreciation for the relationship between physiological health and mental wellness, I mainly approach the process of individual change and growth from an existential and humanistic mindset. I seek to help my clients find meaning and purpose, live in accordance with their values, and meet life’s many challenges with confidence and contentment–without changing what makes them unique. The best stories come with a heaping dose of conflict and adversity–it’s how we rise to these challenges that defines who we are.

My approach is client-led, collaborative, and compassion focused, and I use a mix of cognitive and somatic (body based) techniques to help you strengthen your mind-body connection and heal your whole self - mind, body, and soul.
On the surface, you seem fine but inside, you’re overwhelmed, anxious and constantly doubting yourself. You struggle with saying "no" and asking for what you need. You aim for perfection, but there's still that nagging feeling that you're just not good enough. The pressure to be perfect and please everyone is exhausting and it can feel like there's no way out, but the good news is: you're not alone and it's possible to find relief. Together, we'll work on quieting your inner critic, setting boundaries without guilt, building healthy, authentic relationships with yourself and others, and finding peace and joy around and within you.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
