I believe therapy should be the right blend of supportive and challenging. I provide a warm and accepting environment while also striving to be as honest and direct about thought patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back. My ideal client is one who is open to learning about themselves and their patterns, who wants to be challenged, and who is able to identify their goals for therapy. They want to understand how they can work through issues from their past that may be preventing them from full engaging in their present.

I work with individuals navigating complex trauma and ADHD, helping them reconnect with the many parts of themselves that influence how they think, feel, and act.
I’ve lived, learned, and guided others through trauma, understanding how past experiences shape our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I use EMDR and other evidence-based approaches to process difficult experiences, release stuck patterns, and help you move toward a fuller, more integrated life.

I believe in empowering people to grow and change, to help them climb out of mental anguish into a life of hope and meaning. I am passionate about my work, but conscientious, as well. I know how hard it is to engage in therapy, how much courage it takes, and that people do so out of a strong need to end their suffering and pain.

Overthinking, people-pleasing, and the constant pressure to be productive can feel exhausting. On the outside, you seem like you have it together. You perform well at work, manage responsibilities, and maintain relationships. On the inside, you’re stuck and ruminating in self-doubt and worry about disappointing others. To cope, you shut down, disconnect, or get sucked into algorithms. Small mistakes can feel like proof that you're not good enough. It’s draining and can lead to burnout. Life starts to feel like you're going through the motions instead of actually living it.

In our work together, I draw from parts work (IFS informed), ACT, and a strong mind-body awareness that is also neurodivergence-supportive.
What do you call a Centaur with a limp?..... .... . "Off-Centaur". (insert knee slap and HAHAHA's here). Hi! I’m Cheyne (she/they). It's summer time! And.. you are feeling stuck. Summer often brings more space to notice the things we’ve been pushing past; burnout, overwhelm, relationship patterns, anxiety, or a sense of feeling disconnected from ourselves. Summer can be a surprisingly meaningful time to start therapy, shifting schedules and longer days often create more space to notice the patterns, overwhelm, or disconnection we’ve been pushing past, rather than waiting until things feel unbearable.

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation—not an interrogation, a lecture, or a test you have to pass. My job is to offer a space where you can be messy, honest, unsure, hurting, hopeful, or anything in between. When we work together, I show up as a real person—curious, compassionate, and steady. I help you untangle what’s heavy, learn what’s underneath the patterns that keep repeating, and build tools that actually fit your life. We’ll slow down when things feel overwhelming, ground ourselves when emotions take over, and celebrate growth in ways that feel meaningful to you.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
