Trauma Focused Therapists in Plover, WI
Hi, I’m Katie! I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and the kind of overwhelm that builds when you’ve been holding it together for a long time.
If you feel constantly on edge, stuck in cycles of overthinking or shutdown, or struggling in relationships despite your best efforts—you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with are insightful and capable but carry a level of internal stress that’s hard to explain and even harder to turn off.
Together, we make sense of these patterns and work toward feeling more grounded, less reactive, and more like yourself again.

Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by emotions, stuck in painful patterns, or disconnected from the people you care about most? Many of the clients I work with—children, adults, couples, and families—come to therapy feeling exhausted by anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, or shame. You may be struggling to regulate emotions, communicate effectively, rebuild trust, or make sense of experiences that continue to affect your daily life. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Are stress, worry or anxiety getting in the way of living your best life? Do you find yourself constantly trying to plan for every possible scenario? Maybe it’s hard to get excited about anything anymore, as you find your mind jumping to the worst case scenario. You’re tired, overwhelmed, and struggling to find the energy to care for the people around you, let alone yourself. You tell yourself everything will be okay, that the anxious thoughts aren’t true, but you’re still struggling. Maybe you’re starting to wonder if it’s even possible to ever live a life free of the weight of your worries.

The therapeutic process is one of endless discovery and self-empowerment. Seeking out help is a valiant first step in this personal journey to befriend yourself. Befriending yourself greatly opens the internal space to invite others in so that we might have fuller, richer, and more wholesome relationships with those we love and those we’ve yet to meet. If you seek to reconnect, or connect more deeply, with your inherent goodness, then please reach out. I am deeply excited by the prospect of being able to share this experience with you.

People often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, worn down, or unsure how they’re supposed to keep going. Several years ago, my own family faced profound loss and upheaval that required us to rebuild our lives from the ground up. That season reshaped how I practice therapy. I understand, both professionally and personally, what it means to survive something that changes you—and how to slowly find your footing again. This perspective allows me to walk with clients who feel wounded, disoriented, or exhausted by the effort of carrying so much for so long.
