Do your relationships feel unfulfilling and stuck in the same frustrating patterns, no matter how hard you try to change them? You give so much of yourself but still feel unseen, unheard, or misunderstood. You may be in a relationship that feels confusing, unstable, or emotionally distant. Together, we can develop helpful techniques for you to use outside of sessions and bring about positive change in your life by interrupting these patterns. If you're carrying trauma, anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem, you deserve support. I’d be honored to offer a space where you can breathe, heal, and reconnect with yourself.

Are you driven to check your emails day and night even though you feel exhausted and can’t seem to tame your racing thoughts? Do you overthink your responses and try to craft the “perfect answer”? It may feel hard for you to say no and you default to pleasing other people which can lead to you being burned out. I open up a comfortable space where you don't feel like therapy is intimidating but rather a space for you explore, understand, and challenge your anxiety that is taking over. I have personally experienced how anxiety can impact your life which gives me unique insight to better support you!

Each individual is on a unique path of growth, healing. and self-discovery. Identifying barriers to becoming whole is key to a life of fulfillment and joy. It is my life’s purpose and privilege to help my clients on their journey to better emotional health and freedom from patterns that prevent happiness, contentment, and security. All too often, we suffer in silence, and in doing so we experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, and disconnectedness. Psychological and emotional wellness are truly possible as new ways of thinking develop and shape how we show up in the world.

Helping people strengthen relationships – with their partners, their children, their work, even with themselves – is my personal and professional mission. Academic pressure, social stress, big emotions, and family conflict can quickly start to feel unmanageable.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Using Solution Focused Therapy, along with CBT and family systems work, I help clients build skills they can use in everyday life. Clients often tell me they look forward to their therapy sessions and that they leave feeling more capable of handling life's stressors.

Family Therapy Therapists
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
