You often feel anxious and exhausted. You've worked hard to get to where you are, but you feel confused because reaching your goals hasn't made you happy or fulfilled. You spend more time doing things for others than enjoying your life. Your intrusive thoughts, constant worrying, and feeling unhappy can actually improve. It's hard, but you can get back on track.

Brainspotting for issues such as Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Stress, OCD and more.
My therapeutic philosophy is that it's not what is wrong with you but what happened to you. I believe that symptoms like anxiety and depression are not signs of weakness but messages to our mind and body telling us that something is not right and needs to be addressed. Maladaptive ways of coping may have once served us by dulling stress or pain but are not working any more, and so we have to learn new, healthier, more adaptive coping skills. I believe both the body and mind work together and are ultimately designed to survive, heal and thrive. Sometimes we just need understanding, validation and support to navigate the process.

I am also certified in Brainspotting, which is a gentle yet powerful mind-body approach that helps release trauma and calm the nervous system.
Life can be a lot at times, and sometimes we (and our nervous system) need support. Living in survival mode for too long can quietly wear down your sense of safety, energy, and hope. I work with people navigating life’s heavy or challenging moments, including stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. My approach is about seeing you as a whole person and honoring how your relationships, culture, community, and the world around you shape your experience.

You're the one people go to for support because you seem like you have it all together. Underneath, however, is a different story. You're barely hanging on. Everyday stressors are overwhelming you. Feeling depressed, hopeless, and anxious are your new norms. You may feel uncomfortable in your own skin and use substances or restrictions as a way to cope. You may feel fearful and stuck because of a traumatic experience. Humans are naturally resilient, but in an attempt to adapt we can fall into unhealthy cycles that keep us from realizing our potential. We aren't always equipped with the necessary skills to navigate life's challenges.

I utilize a combination of Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, DBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Practices to help reduce the symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression that complicate and contribute to Substance Use Disorders.
Many people with trauma or PTSD also suffer from substance use issues . Feelings of anxiety, fear, anger, grief, depression, loneliness, feeling judged, and misunderstood are very normal. You may not trust the world around you and may not know how to cope with symptoms of trauma alone and will instead seek to numb your emotional turmoil. Both are lonely and isolating issues. Substance use is an outward manifestation of your pain and with supportive trauma and substance use counseling combined, your addiction can be treated as well as the underline symptoms that cause the need to numb your emotions and avoid your reality.

Many of the moms I work with are high-functioning, deeply caring, and exhausted from trying to hold everything together. You may be navigating sleep deprivation, identity shifts, a difficult birth experience, or pressure to be a "good mom" while ignoring your own needs. Heres where I come in... Parents are out there carrying mental loads that are invisible to others : unresolved stress, old patterns and trauma can make it hard to rest, ask for help, or trust yourself. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what your anxiety is trying to tell you, and build tools that actually work in real life-not just in theory.

I offer Brainspotting and sex/sexuality counseling, KAT integration and I work both with individuals, and with people in relationship.
I know that asking for help is hard, and I am here to hold space for you, or you and your partner(s), to explore and challenge yourself in pursuit of greater truth and authenticity. Grief, shame, anxiety, sadness, and anger often signal that something needs to change. It’s when we feel heard, seen, and understood, that healing and growth are most accessible. Allow me to help.

I am also certified in Brainspotting, a modality for treating trauma, and I graduated with a certificate in trauma-informed care.
I believe that the most important factor when it comes to healing and positive outcomes for people seeking therapy is the relationship between the client and their therapist. My goal is to help you to grow and learn in this relationship, while at the same time ensuring you feel safe while doing so. All I ask is that you show up and do the work, even when the work is hard and heart-wrenching. I want you to strive to better understand yourself by being vulnerable, open, and honest, and I can promise to do the same.

I’m certified in Clinical Hypnosis and trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, and Somatic Experiencing, with specialization in PNES.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating complex trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, and mind-body disconnection. I’m a trauma-trained therapist who also identifies as a person with a physical disability, which informs my work in a deeply compassionate, disability-affirming way. Many of my clients come to me wanting a therapist who truly understands the intersection of mental health, trauma, and identity—and who supports healing without forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. My practice centers on creating a space where you can feel grounded, understood, and gently challenged.

Beginning therapy can often be difficult and may carry a host of fears, uncertainties, and challenges. I believe that it can also be a life changing journey that can help explore those difficult pieces and peel those layers that have kept us from being our authentic selves. My clients are often young adults, parents, those starting a new phase in their life, or anyone navigating the process of individuation and creating change. My clients are often looking to create healthy boundaries and relationships with themselves and others. Many are healing from past trauma, toxic relationships, or entering a new phase in life.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
