Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, a life transition, or relationship challenges, you’re not alone. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can pause, reflect, and begin to heal. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that are holding you back, as well as your unique strengths. I tailor my approach to meet your needs—sometimes offering active, straightforward strategies to help you feel more calm and empowered, and other times creating open, reflective space for deeper connection and self-discovery.

I blend the Gottman Method, Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy and Internal Family Systems to address both the emotional and biological factors influencing relationship dynamics, including struggles with communication, trust, intimacy and betrayal.
In my practice, prioritizing empowerment through knowledge is a top priority. I believe that knowledge is not only comforting but also transformative, so I dedicate time to explaining psychological concepts and therapeutic approaches in accessible terms. I also strongly believe in the art of humor in the therapy room. Laughter joins & heals.

I know from my own experience how difficult it is to take the first step toward getting help. Once you've done that, you must face the difficult task of choosing a therapist. This is a very important and personal decision since the success of treatment is dependent on the client/therapist relationship. I believe the therapist/client relationship should be a collaborative one where we work as a team toward your goals.

I am currently only accepting couple or family clients.
Are you looking for support navigating relationship issues or sexual dissatisfaction? Do you need a space to safely process the trauma or deconstruct the unhelpful beliefs that hinder you from becoming your most authentic self? The world can feel heavy, and I am here to help you carry that weight. As a systemic therapist, I support my clients in identifying and healing relational wounds, understanding how intrapersonal and interpersonal dynamics interact, and fostering lifestyles that feel authentic rather than predetermined. All behavior makes sense in context, and I am happy to work alongside you to identify yours.

It’s hard to show up in the world when your body, your mind, or your relationship feels like it’s working against you. Maybe fertility struggles have left you exhausted and questioning yourself. Maybe trauma keeps replaying in ways you can’t control. Maybe your partner feels like a stranger and every conversation ends in tension. Maybe you're looking around at the world with complete disbelief at how things are going. You deserve relief, clarity, and someone who gets it — not platitudes, but real support for the most messy, painful, confusing parts of your life.

My clients tend to be intelligent and insightful individuals who come to work with me because they suffer from despair and disorder. They have tried to resolve their troubles and cope with their uneasiness for a long time--often partly successfully, and against strong odds--but they have reached a point where they want extra support and insight in order to finally transform their suffering into meaningfulness and growth. With consistency, dedication, patience and focus, I help my clients achieve deep and lasting emotional transformation.

While I have over 7 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I have advanced skills and training in marriage and family systems, eating disorders, and substance abuse, where I completed my addiction studies abroad in Scotland.
Reaching out to a therapist feels like the first time in a bathing suit after a long winter on the couch. Yes, it is scary, but it can also be transformative. Whatever your reason for looking into therapy, I’m glad you’re here. Therapy does not require a large time investment; duration depends on your needs. There’s no specific level of struggle that makes your concerns “too minor” to reach out for professional support. Everyone faces challenges, and therapy can provide the tools you need to build resilience and navigate through them, regardless of how you view the severity of your situation.

Family Therapy Therapists
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
