I specialize in women's mental health, immigrant mental health, perinatal mental health, political anxiety, and in tough life transitions.
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. In a world undergoing a lot of change, a lot of us feel overwhelmed, afraid, or disconnected. As a therapist, I support people in navigating that in-between space—balancing the demands of daily life and the stressors of a changing world while making room for what feels meaningful and true. Many of us are asking bigger questions right now: How do we live with purpose and joy during times of change? How do we find clarity, hope, and authenticity? How do we face anxiety, depression, panic, or the pull to escape—and still move toward healing, growth, and a deeper sense of self?

With over 15 years of experience, my belief is that seeking out counseling services is a brave and proactive way to improve one’s quality of life. I strive to tailor all of my clients’ therapeutic journeys to their respective individual hopes, goals and needs to leave them feeling more complete, joyful, and with a greater understanding of themselves than prior to entering therapy. I aim to create a warm, kind, inclusive and safe therapeutic space that is free of judgment and open to what the client brings to each session. I particularly enjoy working with clients through transitional periods in their life.

Therapy looks different for everyone, because everyone comes into therapy with different needs. In general, therapy works by us having lots of (often weekly, sometimes more often, just shy of an hour-long) conversations in which we get to know your mind and heart to help you find answers to what you are struggling with. To get to know you better, I will encourage you to share with me thoughts, emotions, images… everything that comes to your mind. Nothing is off limits, and the hardest or most awkward things to talk about can yield the biggest benefits.

From the outside, you’re doing well. You show up, take care of what needs to be done, and people rely on you. But underneath, it feels different. Everything takes more effort than it should. You’re tired in a way that rest doesn’t fix, and you find yourself wondering, “Why does this feel so hard?” You may have been told it’s anxiety, stress, or burnout. Sometimes it is. But for many women, there’s more beneath the surface—patterns that have gone unnoticed for years.

Beginning therapy can often be difficult and may carry a host of fears, uncertainties, and challenges. I believe that it can also be a life changing journey that can help explore those difficult pieces and peel those layers that have kept us from being our authentic selves. My clients are often young adults, parents, those starting a new phase in their life, or anyone navigating the process of individuation and creating change. My clients are often looking to create healthy boundaries and relationships with themselves and others. Many are healing from past trauma, toxic relationships, or entering a new phase in life.

You want to feel calm, patient, and in control—but instead you’re overwhelmed, snapping more than you want to, and wondering why everything feels so hard. You wake up already exhausted, your mind racing before the day even starts. You’re juggling kids, home, and work, and it never feels like enough. Maybe you’ve yelled in a way that scared you or found yourself hiding in the bathroom just trying to breathe. The guilt hits hard. At night, you replay the day, wondering what’s wrong. You love your kids deeply—but feel like you’ve lost yourself in the process.

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially if you've been carrying a lot for a long time. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. Imagine: walking into a space, taking a deep breath and sinking into a couch to talk about what is on your mind with no fear of judgment. Together, we slow things down and get curious about what your nervous system has learned, and how we can gently support it towards healing.

Trauma isn’t just about major crises; complex trauma often shows up as chronic people-pleasing, overthinking, feeling constantly overwhelmed, or struggling to set boundaries. If you’re feeling disconnected or exhausted by these daily cycles, you don’t have to carry it alone. I support teens, young adults, and parents navigating anxiety, trauma, and relationship stress. As an EMDR-trained therapist with a background in school social work, I offer a grounded, culturally responsive space to process deep-seated patterns and build steadier tools. Let’s move at a pace that feels safe for you.

Has shame kept you in silence? Have circumstances robbed you of your peace? Are you struggling to cope with the stressors in your life? Do you feel like no one understands you or that you don’t fit in? Do you feel alone, overwhelmed, hopeless, angry, worthless, anxious, in constant pain, or out of control? Have you been hurt by people or systems that are supposed to help you? Trauma can shake the very foundation of our sense of well-being, safety, and belonging. And shame can hinder us from living the life we want and deserve. Whatever you find yourself struggling with, you don't need to suffer in silence or walk this journey alone.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
