As a therapist, my goal is to empower individuals to embrace themselves, recognize their strengths, and live authentically. My approach to therapy blends direct communication, compassion, and a bit of humor to challenge and support growth. I work with teens and adults, specializing in disordered eating, self-esteem, boundaries, and interpersonal relationships. My practice is grounded in Health at Every Size, social justice, and trauma-informed care. I believe there is so much freedom and joy on the other side of disordered eating, diet culture, and self-doubt.

Hey, I’m really glad you’re here. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or questioning everything, you’re not alone. Maybe the weight of expectations, the chaos of the world, or just the sheer exhaustion of keeping up has you wondering if things will ever feel easier. If your mind won’t slow down, if fear or doubt feel constant, or if you’re struggling to find a way forward—I see you. You don’t have to figure this out alone. Together, we can make sense of what’s happening, sort through the noise, and find a path that feels more like you.

Vulnerability is the strength that makes us humanly genuine. Through a non-judgmental and culturally sensitive lens, we will work together to uncover and build upon your resilience. I am here to empathically support your therapeutic journey and when you feel comfortable, I will gently challenge your preconceptions about yourself and the world around you. This is where growth happens. I encourage you to bring your fullest self to sessions, whatever that may entail, ie. humor, colorful language, creativity, authenticity…and I will do the same.

The core of my work is creating a safe space where clients can feel heard, respected, and understood. A full and satisfying life is unique to each person; I will collaborate with you as you move toward the life you want to live. Understanding each client's culture, identities, and worldview is central to my approach. Not only is it important to deeply understand you as an individual, but also to explore how factors in the wider environment either promote your well being or intensify your distress. A holistic approach to wellness involves the individual, their relationships, and their wider world.

With over 15 years of experience, my belief is that seeking out counseling services is a brave and proactive way to improve one’s quality of life. I strive to tailor all of my clients’ therapeutic journeys to their respective individual hopes, goals and needs to leave them feeling more complete, joyful, and with a greater understanding of themselves than prior to entering therapy. I aim to create a warm, kind, inclusive and safe therapeutic space that is free of judgment and open to what the client brings to each session. I particularly enjoy working with clients through transitional periods in their life.

My therapeutic philosophy is that it's not what is wrong with you but what happened to you. I believe that symptoms like anxiety and depression are not signs of weakness but messages to our mind and body telling us that something is not right and needs to be addressed. Maladaptive ways of coping may have once served us by dulling stress or pain but are not working any more, and so we have to learn new, healthier, more adaptive coping skills. I believe both the body and mind work together and are ultimately designed to survive, heal and thrive. Sometimes we just need understanding, validation and support to navigate the process.
