The core of my work is creating a safe space where clients can feel heard, respected, and understood. A full and satisfying life is unique to each person; I will collaborate with you as you move toward the life you want to live. Understanding each client's culture, identities, and worldview is central to my approach. Not only is it important to deeply understand you as an individual, but also to explore how factors in the wider environment either promote your well being or intensify your distress. A holistic approach to wellness involves the individual, their relationships, and their wider world.

Is there a part of you that you don’t quite understand—something that feels like it’s holding you back or leading to painful, repeating patterns in your life? You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling unfulfilled, or a sense of frustration about not being able to move forward despite your best efforts.
Many people who come to therapy have tried everything they can think of to feel better. When things don’t change, it can feel discouraging or confusing. I believe these struggles often have roots in ways of thinking and relating to ourselves and others. These patterns can develop over time and we may be unaware of them.

You may appear capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed or exhausted inside. Many leaders, advocates, helpers, and achievers carry constant pressure, hold themselves to impossible standards, take on too much responsibility, and rarely slow down. Over time, that weight can impact well-being, relationships, and a sense of direction. For 20+ years, I’ve supported individuals navigating complex systems, conflicts, chronic stress, and difficult transitions. My work is grounded in trauma healing and restorative practices, offering a steady, compassionate space to move out of survival mode and toward clarity and meaningful growth.

Brainspotting for issues such as Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Stress, OCD and more.
My therapeutic philosophy is that it's not what is wrong with you but what happened to you. I believe that symptoms like anxiety and depression are not signs of weakness but messages to our mind and body telling us that something is not right and needs to be addressed. Maladaptive ways of coping may have once served us by dulling stress or pain but are not working any more, and so we have to learn new, healthier, more adaptive coping skills. I believe both the body and mind work together and are ultimately designed to survive, heal and thrive. Sometimes we just need understanding, validation and support to navigate the process.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
