Joanne is dually licensed in the state of Wisconsin as a Clinical Social Worker and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Her practice is limited to adults. She focuses on helping clients develop healthy relationships – within themselves, with partners, peers and family, and with the community at large. She has over thirty five years in clinical practice, and she specializes in the treatment of trauma, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, and marital/relationship issues.

Often “symptoms” are a function of being stuck or at odds with ourselves and others, or from painfully re-living past events. I will only be accepting virtual, private pay clients at this time as I will be going fully remote by December and taking parental leave in January 2024 for 8-12 weeks and returning virtually to start. I specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and adjustment. LGBTQ+ adults struggling with issues related to their identity and sexuality are my ideal clients. I am also familiar and comfortable with working with those in traditional and non-traditional relationship types - monogamy, non-monogamy (ENM, Polyamory, Swinging), BDSM/Kink, blended families, etc.
